![I’ve been mulling over Fairey’s interpretation of Occupy Wall Street all day. I am a fan of Fairey’s work but obviously this image evokes that of the Black Panther movement and Occupy[insert city name here] is no Black Panther Movement. I think the Occupy movement is muddied enough as is. With Abu-Jamal back in the news, Fairey’s ability to garner attention and Occupy struggling to come on one accord, this image just lends to the confusion.
Besides that, I think this image is dope. Take The Occupation Party off and it can certainly land a spot in my home.
